We are delighted to announce another fascinating Dialogue Matters program with Dr. Craig Considine to discuss his latest book “Islam in America: Exploring the Issues (Religion in Politics and Society Today) on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Hyatt Regency North Dallas/Richardson.

This book has three major themes:

1) Synthesizing “Islamic values” and “American values”;

2) Fostering the dialogue of civilizations over the clash of civilizations; and

3) Uplifting our common humanity by embracing religious pluralism, racial diversity, and the civic nation

A valuable resource for readers interested in the role of Islam in contemporary U. S. politics and society, this first-of-its-kind reference synthesizes Islamic teachings, the example of Prophet Muhammad, and the vision of the Founding Fathers.

Islam is the most misunderstood and misrepresented religious tradition in the United States, depicted as an oppressive and violent political system and its followers as backward and “un-American.” The stereotypes about Islam and Muslims in the U.S. calls for a new sociological understanding that confronts the menacing bigotry and racism rising in the U.S. today.

Last year, we had a very well-attended, sold-out event with Dr. Considine. This event will be open to public and registration will be limited on first come first bases.

You can reserve your ticket online or send your $10 check payable to the Dialogue Institute Dallas at 1416 E. Collins Blvd. Richardson, TX 75081 before Feb 3rd.

Free Parking will be available on site.
